Home MenuRental Inspection Program
The Joliet City Council adopted a multi-family rental inspection program March 31, 1986 with endorsement by various neighborhood organizations and civic groups.
Our core mission is ensuring public health, safety, and welfare. Our goal is to protect and preserve the quality of life through fair and consistent application of local, state, and federal laws. Three areas we consider critical to our success are: communications, fairness, and the application of best practices in all we do.
1. Strengthen the housing market to bolster the economy and protect consumers,
2. Meet the need for quality affordable rental homes,
3. Utilize housing as a platform for improving quality of life,
